Location : The M5 northbound exit slip at junction J6. Lane one will be closed. Horticultural works are planned. Expect disruption everyday between 21:00 and 06:00 from 26 February 2026 to 28 February 20 26. There will be one of two lanes closed. The work is expected to be completed by the end of March 2026. It is not known when the work will be completed.

Roadworks are planned on the M5 northbound entry slip at junction J8. Lanes 1 and 2 will be closed. Expect disruption everyday between 20:00 and 06:00 from 14 April 2026 to 18 April 20 26. Two Way traffic to return to Hanley Road as Severn Trent completes latest phase of £25m works
Severn Trent is currently investing £25 million to upgrade the local water network. Work on Chell Street, Town Road, and Hulton Street is progressing well. Temporary one-way system on Hanley Road will be lifted on February 20. Two-way traffic will be restored, helping ease movement around the area. The next stage of the programme will begin on Monday, February 23, covering the stretch between Merrick Street and Keelings Road.
