The McDonalds wrap of the day started in the Summer of 2011.
At the time Mcdonalds said “Introducing the new Wraps range is the next step in the expansion of our menu. In order to meet the changing demands and desires of our customers, over the last four years we’ve added more choice than ever before. We aim to give customers another reason to consider McDonald’s as their lunchtime destination.”

The wrap of the day means the restaurant will offer the wrap at a reduced rate. For McDonalds it’s currently £1.99 and for the KFC it’s £1.98
The Breakfast Wrap disappeared
In January 2022, Mcdonalds said that breakfast wraps and bagels would not be added to the menu again.
When did McDonald’s stop delivering the Wrap of the Day?
The Wrap of the Day is no longer available for delivery at McDonald’s. This stopped at the start of 2023. There are no plans to bring back the Wrap of the Day deal on McDelivery or through third-party operators at this time.

The Premium McWrap launches in USA in 2012 and retired 4 years later
McDonald started the “Premium McWrap” in all of its USA restaurants in 2012. The freshly made sandwich wraps are part of McDonald’s plan to give customers a wide range of tastes and new food options. All three kinds of the tortilla-wrapped entree have fresh vegetables, grilled or crispy chicken breast, and signature sauces like seasoned rice vinegar, sweet chilli, or creamy garlic. They come in a hand-held package that makes it easy to eat on the go.
Customers can choose from three meal-sized Premium McWraps, such as the “Chicken & Bacon Premium McWrap,” “Sweet Chili Chicken Premium McWrap,” or “Chicken & Ranch Premium McWrap,” which cost around $3.99. The Premium McWrap was the first permanent item on McDonald’s menu to have cucumber slices and the first hand-held meal to have fresh spring mix.
The Premium McWrap came to the U.S. from McDonald’s Europe, where it was one of their most popular menu items when it debuted in Poland in 2004. McWrap got its start on a small scale in Poland in 2004. McDonald’s decided to test the waters in the U.S. in 2006 because it was popular there and wanted to reach people who cared more about health. First, there was only a small size of Snack Wrap. Next, in 2010, the chain tried out a full-size version called the Chicken Grande Wrap, followed by the Fresh Garden Wrap. McWrap got its start on a small scale in Poland in 2004. McDonald’s decided to test the U.S. in 2006 as a small Snack Wrap. The sandwiches were tried out in two U.S. cities before they went across all USA restaurants. In 2016, it was taken off the menu in the United States.

Chicken & Bacon has a grilled or crispy chicken breast fillet, bacon, two half slices of tomato, spring greens, shredded lettuce, and cheddar jack cheese, all wrapped in a warm 10-inch flour tortilla and drizzled with a creamy garlic sauce. (440-600 calories)
Sweet Chili Chicken is made with grilled or fried chicken breast fillet, cucumber slices, spring greens, shredded lettuce, sweet chilli, and cheddar jack cheese. It is all wrapped in a warm 10-inch flour tortilla and topped with creamy garlic sauce. (360-520 calories)
Chicken & Ranch has two half slices of tomato, cucumber slices, spring greens, shredded lettuce, cheddar jack cheese, and seasoned rice vinegar and buttermilk ranch sauce drizzled over grilled or fried chicken breast fillet. 10 inches long and made of flour. (430-590 calories)
New Wrap
McDonald’s said it will start selling a new wrap called “the Spicy Sriracha Chicken One” with a “big flavour.” It will have a crispy chicken breast or grilled chicken, spicy Sriracha sauce, cucumber, onions, and lettuce, all in a soft, toasted wrap.
It’s been on the menu since January 4, 2023, but you can only get it in the UK and Ireland for a limited time. During this time it will become the Mcdonalds Wrap of the day on a Wednesday.
