People receiving tax credits, pension credits, and universal credit will be paid directly into bank accounts three times throughout the year.
Begining in the spring and this is in addition to their Winter Fuel Payments. Over eight million pensioners and over six million disabled people will each get a separate £150 and £300.
The new £900 cash boost will begin in the spring and be distributed directly to bank accounts in three payments throughout the course of the fiscal year to more than eight million eligible recipients of means-tested benefits, including those receiving tax credits, pension credits, and universal credit. In addition to their Winter Fuel Payments, over eight million pensioners and over six million disabled people will each get a separate £150 and £300.
There is no need to apply if a person is eligible; payment will be made automatically. Shortly after DWP payments are made, HMRC will pay claimants who qualify for any of the Cost of Living Payments, receive tax credits, and do not receive any other means-tested benefits.
You do not need to receive the dwp cost of living payment. You’ll be paid automatically. A communication requesting you to apply or get in touch with someone regarding a payment may be a scam.

Depending on your situation on a specific date or over a specific term, you might get up to 3 distinct sorts of payment:
1, a Cost of Living Payment if you receive a low income benefit or tax credit that is acceptable.
2, If you get a valid disability payment, you will receive a Disability Cost of Living Payment.
3, If you are eligible for a Winter Fuel Payment for the winter of 2022–2023, you will get a Pensioner Cost of Living Payment.
The benefits or tax credits you get are unaffected by these payments, which are not taxable.
If you qualify, you will immediately get payment in the same manner that you typically receive benefits or tax credits.

What is this ‘second amount of money’ for ?
A cost of living assistance package has been set in place for 2022 that comprises one-time payments to retirees, claimants with disabilities, and recipients of income-related benefits. These contributions are meant to help people cope with the recent spike in living expenses.
Who is eligible for the this payment ?
For people on certain benefits or tax credits, may be able to get one or more of these Cost of Living Support Payments.
There is no need to apply. People will be paid automatically in the same way they get regular benefits or tax credits.
These extra payments for cost of living are made on top of regular payments. They aren’t taxed, and they won’t change any other
benefits or tax credits.
When are businesses getting payment assistance for the energy crisis ?
All businesses in Britain and Northern Ireland will get a discount on their energy bills. The government is to cut costs by lowering the prices businesses pay for wholesale energy. The amount of discount will depend on what businesses are already paying.

It IS immoral to cut taxes for rich people, during a #CostOfLivingCrises, and also when those tax cuts are to be funded by further borrowing by the Tories, who have already doubled our national debt to well over £2 Trillion in the last 12 years. https://t.co/jDINuPkzex

Why do energy companies get so much profit in this crisis ?

The government have not confirmed the date of the second COL payment though, have they??
Seriously when will you thicko’s learn to either read, or stop copying and throwing everyone else’s garbage.
it clealy states on the government site they have no date yet.
It also clearly states it’s those on disability benefits who should receive their payment of £150 by the beginning of October.
I sincerely hope the government sue you all for the lies you have been spreading.
This goes for all online news reporters for spewing utter nonsense and getting the hopes up of those who desperately need this extra help.
Well said, Hollie. I’m in the boat of those due to receive a second CoL payment, but I don’t know where all of these idiots are getting this ‘they’l be paid by 01 Ocotber’ bilge from. The GOV.UK website currently makes it clear that the payment date will be given once it’s known and currently list the payments as being due to be made in ‘Autumn 2022’. No specific date is as yet given and the local newspapers acting as though 01 October is all but the Word of God need to apologise for misleading people ASAP.
