Why is cricket so hard to understand?
Experts find it difficult to explain making it more complex than it really is, trying to explain every aspect of the sport in great details.
The Basics : One team throws a ball and the other team hit the ball away with a bat. That’s it really.
Cricket – a bit more
The further your hit the ball the more points you get but be careful not to get dismissed by missing the ball or getting caught out, Once the ball is hit, run up and down.
WHAT IS THE HUNDRED GAME IN CRICKET
Eight men’s teams and eight women’s teams from key cities around England and Wales (Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire) compete in the professional franchise 100-ball cricket competition. Known as The Hundred. The England and Wales Cricket Board oversees the competition, which debuted in July and August of 2021. The BBC and Sky Sports will both air The Hundred.
Why is called the hundred?
There are 100 balls in each team batting period. The team with the most points in 100 balls is the winner. After 10 balls, the fielding side switch is finished. Five or ten consecutive balls may be delivered by a bowler.
