As we work towards a low-carbon, clean air recovery from COVID-19, we need to make sure that public transport is constantly improving to make journeys quicker, easier and more reliable. Travelling by bus means less congestion and better air quality for everybody.
Transport for West Midlands and Birmingham City Council are working together on four road schemes in Birmingham city centre which aim to improve bus travel. Hackney cab users/drivers, motorcyclists and cyclists will also benefit from these schemes. The scheme proposals are located on Margaret Street, Bristol Street, Newhall Street and Snow Hill Queensway.
You can find out more about these schemes by visiting the Cross City Bus website. Alternatively, you can download the leaflet to read the same information about them.
If you would like to hear more and ask questions of the project team, please register to attend the online briefing at 6pm on Thursday 4 March.
Consultation is now open for you to share your views on these proposals Please complete the online survey to have your say.
If you have any questions please email them to crosscitybus@tfwm.org.uk
