Coventry City Council is offering free parking in its car parks over the Christmas period.
The move will allow people to park in any Coventry City Council-owned car park for free until midnight on 26 December.
The car parks are:
- Barracks car park
- Bishop Street/Tower Street car park
- Cheylesmore car park
- City Arcade car park
- Clay Lane car park
- Cox Street car park
- Far Gosford Street car park
- Gosford Street car park
- Grosvenor Road car park
- Grove Street car park
- Leicester Row car park
- Lower Ford Street car park
- Manor House Drive car park
- New Union Street car park
- Salt Lane car park
- Spon Street car park
- Warwick Street car park
- Westminster Road car park
- West Orchards car park
Councillor Patricia Hetherton, Cabinet Member for City Services, said: “We hope that by allowing people to park for free, we can encourage people to shop safely this Christmas, supporting both businesses and retailers inside the city centre and out.”
“It also means people can choose where they want to park, maybe choosing car parks which are normally quieter than others to allow for more social distancing.
“Of course, if you are visiting any shops, please do remember to follow guidelines and remember, Hands, Face, Space to help everyone stay safe this Christmas.”
