What Happened To Wasps Rugby : 167 jobs are lost as another Premiership club enters administration
What Happened To Wasps Rugby? Wasps Holdings Limited (“Wasps”) appointed Andrew Sheridan and Rajnesh Mittal of FRP as administrators on October 17, 2022.
Are the Coventry City football games still happening ?
The Coventry Building Society Arena will host Coventry City Football Club’s home match against Sheffield United on Wednesday as scheduled, the team can announce after receiving assurances to that effect.
Regarding the current circumstance, we continue to communicate with the Arena.
On October 17, 2022, Andrew Sheridan and Rajnesh Mittal of FRP were chosen to serve as Wasps Holdings Limited’s (“Wasps”) administrators.
Please take note that the companies running the enterprises at arena in Coventry, Arena Coventry Limited and IEC Experience Limited, are not in administration and continue to operate normally.
The definition of “in Administration”
A corporation that is insolvent may use the formal UK insolvency procedure known as administration. The process entails putting the business under the supervision of insolvency professionals and the legal defence of UK courts.
A moratorium is part of administration and it is in effect while the company is under administration. This prevents legal proceedings against a firm from moving further unless the Administrators or the English Court grant authorization.
What does the new administration imply for Wasps fans who have season tickets and game tickets?
Due to the recent cancellation of all Wasps games, match tickets, season tickets, and hospitality packages cannot be honoured. Refunds are not possible from Wasps.
If you used a credit card or debit card to make the purchase, you may be eligible for a refund from the company that issued the card. If this might apply to you, do get in touch with your card issuer as soon as you can. UK Finance can provide more details, including any applicable time constraints.
You can file a claim against Wasps if you are unable to get a refund from the card company. Tickets holders will receive information on how to file a claim. The act of filing a claim in this manner does not guarantee that you will be compensated. If there is a chance of a payment, that will be decided later, and you will be contacted once more.
The Coventry Arena will continue to host events.
Wasps games are the only events that are postponed as a result of the administration. The way Wasps are run has no bearing on:
ticket holders and hospitality packages for Coventry City FC
ticket holders for the Rugby League World Cup and hospitality packages
Bookings for conferences and events
Hotel reservations
Holders of music event tickets
What will happen to product orders placed on the club website and shop?
The management of Wasps has no bearing on the club store (located at the CBS Arena and online).
What does the administration mean for me as a Wasps bondholder?
You can access a different link for inquiries from bondholders here.
Do I need to work with a third party to recover my money?
No. You can make direct claims against Wasps or credit issuers.
I want to get in touch with the Joint Administrators.
Individual ticket holders’ calls cannot be answered by the Administrators. All pertinent information will be made available on this website, and Wasps’ creditors will receive access information to a gateway for them.
Contact the Joint Administrators at wasps@frpadvisory.com with any questions regarding Wasps, including Wasps Mens, Wasps Ladies, Wasps Netball, and the related Academies and Pathways programmes.

What is happening on Twitter?
Wouldn’t normally drink on a school night but long, tough day. Myself and 166 other brilliant men and women lost our jobs today. Thank you so much for all the messages of support for all of us. It’s not the end. #everykitmanknows. 🍷 pic.twitter.com/6O6E5tZwaE

Gutted to have to write this.

Like many of my colleagues at Wasps, and Worcester, I have lost my job today.
I have worked at Wasps since 2016 and have made lifelong friends and memories along the way.
I’m reaching out to my network to ask if anyone can help me find work.
Until the sun rises again on a dark day I’ll be off Twitter. It’s all too much for me at the moment. So for now it’s goodbye. I hope to see you all again at some point, hopefully in the not to distant future. Until then ❤️
